Following the interview over at IGN:
These people are artist, and Monster Hunter is their art, and Wilds will be the Magnum Opus (including it's inevitable G-rank DLC).
For how many people complained about how awful the performance is during beta, I can admire a team that says "...We got this hardware, and we got this very ambitious vision that hasn't been able to be realized for decades, let's do it this time"
Even though I'm a Fiver, I've crossed the sea and experienced the series truly. From the party-like GU, to the Expansive adventure of 4U, and the dreamy-like beach of 3U (and even what I would consider spiritual predecessor of Wilds in Dos).
And looking back into World, initially I was nervous, sharing the thought from Jakob Dawson alike (Watch this):
But whatever it is slated for Wilds, all my doubts are gone.
World has never been about bowing to the mainstream.
Instead, it's a testbed on what it could be.
And now, Wilds will take it to the next level.
My pessimistic mind can't help but to think that Wilds and it's G-Rank will be the final Hurrah for Monster Hunter, before the Vulture of Bean Counter starts eating it's flesh alive.
But, whatever it is slated in the future, I'm confidence that at least, Wilds will be special.
