Nothing Fancy, But the Fundamentals Are Just Right

If we’re talking my golden standard of service when it comes to coffee shops, my answer will always be the Sekutu Duo: Sekutu Kopi at Slamet Riyadi Street and Sekutu Rumah Karya.

Why? Because they’ve got the fundamentals just right: good coffee, reasonable price (a bit upscale but not overly so), nice selection of pastries, friendly staff, nice vibe, clean bathroom, reasonable seating position. You get the idea.

There’s not much I could say, but one thing that always sold me on this place is the vibe. The interior designer really knows what they’re doing.

It’s the kind of artificial vintage that will make the place age gracefully. All of the interior feels well intentioned to look good even as time goes on, as long as the employees maintain a certain level of cleanliness.

Also, the free-flow infused water is just the cherry on top.

Overall, this is the place when it comes to work, recreation, and short rest kind of coffee shop. You’ll like it.
